GUIDE HACHETTE DES VINS 2025
Côtes du Rhône rouge, cuvée Bonheur 2023, 2 stars Coup de Cœur
“Born of 40-year-old vines and a clay-limestone matrix with rolled pebbles, this Grenache-Syrah duo in equal measure makes a stunning wine, full of nuances, from the shimmering carmine-red color to the bouquet, which happily blends iris, crushed raspberry and truffle notes. Tactfully extracted, soberly matured in vats, it restores the same freshness on the palate, with just the right amount of volume and structure, culminating in a long, liquorice finish. .”
Côtes du Rhône Blanc, Cuvée Bonheur 2023, 2 stars
” Equal parts Grenache, Viognier and Roussanne were harvested in mid-August and at night to compensate for the heat of the vintage. After 6 months in vat, this white delivers a subtle bouquet of lime blossom, apricot and chamomile. A hint of brioche is added to this well-matched palette on the palate, which is full-bodied, comfortable but not overpowering, and energized by a long finish with hints of grapefruit. .”
Lirac Cuvée Elie 2022, 2 stars Coup de Cœur
“For this cuvée, dedicated to their son, Romain and Laure Dubois made judicious choices: an early harvest at the end of August to compensate for the over-ripeness of the grapes in this dry vintage, and the choice of 12 months’ careful ageing in demi-muids. While the bouquet still bears the delicate imprint of wood, it nevertheless delivers tantalizing aromas of crushed blackberry and quetsch tart. In a gourmet register, the palate displays serious sweetness, present but silky tannins and a long finish with a tonic, licorice-like bitterness that gives the whole a lot of nerve. We look forward to .”
Lirac rouge 2022, 1 star
“The 12-month ageing in foudre has not dulled either the aromas or the color of this lovely, impeccably fresh Lirac, with its scents of blackcurrant purée and Chinese ink, interspersed with a surprisingly lively, exotic note. Silky, dedicated and sapid, the palate seduces with its fine tannins, soft woodiness and nutmeg flavors, in short, a harmony without false notes. .”
Côtes Du Rhône Villages red 2023, 2 Stars
” The jury was unanimous in its praise for this very convincing village, a classic blend of half Grenache, 30% Syrah and Mourvèdre, briefly aged in vats (6 months). On the nose, it already offers a beautiful expression of fresh flowers (violet, lilac), nuanced with notes of leather and garrigue. Enhanced by morello cherry, the palate is rich, perfumed and seductive, with robust tannins that augur well for the future. A devilishly seductive composition, but still in the making. .”
