GUIDE HACHETTE 2012
Lirac Rouge 2009, 2 **, a red wine
” In the near future, the Dubois promise, the estate will convert to organic farming. In the meantime, they are offering a superb 2009 that combines 10% Carignan with classic Grenache and Syrah. The nose is complex, with black fruits, sweet spices, roasted notes and animal nuances. Following on from the bouquet, carried by mellow tannins, the palate builds for a long time to the warm finish. A hunting wine, to be drunk in autumn or in a year or two.. “
– Côtes du Rhône Rouge 2010, 1*, France
” Best served with a cheese platter, especially picodon, this young Côtes du Rhône has a delicate nose of black and red fruits with a hint of spice, and shows great promise. Made from Grenache and Syrah grapes, with a pinch of Carignan, this wine is round and full-bodied on the palate, with a pleasant but not explosive aromatic expression and good persistence. A well-balanced, ready-to-drink ensemble. “
