” An established name in the appellation, his cuvée Marie was a “coup de cœur” in the previous edition… Here, he offers a Lirac made from seventy- and fifteen-year-old vines, Grenache in the lead, with Syrah, Mourvèdre and Carignan making up the balance. The intense red color invites further tasting. The emerging bouquet is dominated by licorice, with complementary kirsch nuances, and is followed by a full, smooth, unctuous palate. A fine expression of Grenache and its terroir of rolled pebbles, which will reveal itself even better after two or three years of cellaring.. “
